Learn to paint Tuscany in plein air in this five day workshop. Students will learn basic techniques of painting outdoors such as finding a subject, recognizing good composition and painting techniques which will allow the artist to complete a painting in a limited amount of time. Students will also learn how to recognize values and how they relate to light shadow and color.

Watercolor Essentials:
This workshop is sponsored by the North East Watercolor Society in conjunction with their 34th Annual International Exhibit. The class is open to all abilities and will focus on the essential techniques necessary to produce a good watercolor painting. Basic watercolor techniques will be reviewed. Students will explore composition and value patterns and their relationship to the painting process. Subject matter will include, landscape, florals and close focus motif.
