Painting the late summer landscape in watercolor.

This workshop will be held at Church of the Holy Spirit Community Life Center, 263 Highland St. in Plymouth NH. There is lots of class space and plenty of free parking! Robert will do a demonstration in the morning, and participants will paint a late summer or early fall landscape in the afternoon. The workshop will end with a short critique session. Learn to paint Tuscany in plein air in this five day workshop. Students will learn basic techniques of painting outdoors such as finding a subject, recognizing good composition and painting techniques which will allow the artist to complete a painting in a limited amount of time. Students will also learn how to recognize values and how they relate to light shadow and color.

This workshop is sponsored by the North East Watercolor Society in conjunction with their 34th Annual International Exhibit. The class is open to all abilities and will focus on the essential techniques necessary to produce a good watercolor painting. Basic watercolor techniques will be reviewed.
